Joey Votto Saves A Child’s Life In Game Against Cubs
David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Someone get Joey Votto a cape. This man just saved a child’s life. While at Wrigley Field tonight, Cincinnati Reds first baseman, Joey Votto, saved a potential Chicago Cubs fan from living a life of misery.

*Satire Warning*

Joey Votto Hits A Home Run Against The Chicago Cubs

Prior to taking Chicago Cubs starting pitcher, Kyle Hendricks, deep in the top of the sixth inning, Votto made friends with a young impressionable mind sitting in the first row at Wrigley Field wearing a Cubs jersey.

These are the types of stories that can change fandoms for a lifetime. How cool is it to be that age and have a professional baseball player interact with you? Now think about that player mashing a home run against the team that you are there to root for. Then that same player comes and gives you a high five afterward. It’s absolutely nuts!

No doubt this young child will be wearing Joey Votto jerseys for the rest of his life. This in turn will save him the stress and agony of being a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan watching the roster constantly agitate.

Not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they wear baseball uniforms.
