The Buffalo Bills have undergone a lot of changes this offseason, both to their roster and to their coaching staff.
One of those coaching staff changes was hiring Bobby Babich as defensive coordinator.
While that hire was made, head coach Sean McDermott said a decision has not yet been made on who will call the defense- Babich or himself.
Bills coach Sean McDermott said team is still deciding who will call plays on defense between him and Bobby Babich — no timeline on making decision, but he’s confident in both options

McDermott has called the defensive plays since the 2022 season after the Bills moved on from defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier after the infamous "13 seconds" debacle against the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the 2021-22 AFC playoffs.
Babich has been with the Bills since 2017 when he was hired as an assistant defensive backs coach. He was the safeties coach from 2018-21 before moving to linebackers in 2022.
Before coming to Buffalo, he spent a year as the secondary coach and pass game coordinator at Florida International University. He's also had stints with the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers.
